Small Potato Masala for Puri/Chapathi


INGREDIENTS:
Sweet Potatoes-15 
Onion -1 big or 2 small
Tomato -1 and 1/2
Green Chilly-2
Ginger Garlic paste-2 Tbsp
Jeera - 1/2 tsp
Curry leaves-1 Sprig
Oil -1 Tbsp
Red Chilli powder -2 tsp
Turmeric powder -1/2 tsp
Curry Masala-1 Tbsp
Coriander leaves for garnishing

METHOD:
1.Heat Oil in a pressure cooker.Add jeera and when it pops,add curry leaves,green chilly and ginger garlic paste.
2.Add Chopped Onions with little salt.Salt will make onions to cook fast.
3.Add Tomatoes.
4.Wash and peel  Small potatoes.Chop and add them.
5.Add masalas, salt and required water and cook for 3 whistles.When pressure releases, check if small potatoes have cooked well else pressure cook for another 2 whistles.
6.Garnish with Coriander leaves.


7.Serve with Puri,chapathi.

Puri/How to make Puffed Puri?


INGREDIENTS:
Wheat flour -3 Cups
Water- 1 to 1 1/2 Cup
Ajwain Seeds/Omam -1 tsp(optional)
Salt -as needed
Sugar - 1 Tbsp
Oil for frying

METHOD:
1.In a Bowl,add wheat flour,salt, sugar and omam

2.Make a hole in the center of wheat flour.
3.Add required water and mix well to form a stiff dough.
4.Use a fork to mix well.

5.Knead well to form a stiff dough.
6.Cut the dough into pieces.
7.Knead each dough into a long roll.
8.Cut dough into pieces.
9.Roll into small balls.
10.Flatten Puri balls.
11.Flatten the balls into slightly thick round  using a Chapathi roller.
12.Flatten all the Puris required for frying.
13.Heat Oil and drop the Puris from side carefully.
14.Press the laddle so the Puri puffs up.
15.Turn the puffed Puri to other side.
16.Hot,yummy puffed Puris are ready.


Serve with Potato masala,Veg Kurma .
