Soya Chunks 65



Ingredients:
Soya Chunks - 1 and 1/2 cup
Curd -2 tbsp
Ginger-Garlic paste -2 tbsp
Rice flour -2 tbsp
Red chilli powder -1and 1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder -1/2 tsp
Garam Masala -1 and 1/2 tsp
Salt - to taste
Curry leaves
Frying oil - as required
Water for boiling soya chunks

Method:

Take Soya chunks in a bowl


Add soya chunks to water and let it boil for 7 minutes or till it's completely boiled with bubbles coming from it's sides.


Squeeze the soya chunks without water and wash it twice with normal water


Add Curd,red chilli powder,turm turm powder,garamasala,ginger garlic paste  and salt.Mix them well.


Marinate for around 20 minutes


Heat oil in a kadai


Add marinated soya chunks to medium hot oil and fry them



Add Curry leaves to oil and fry them




Transfer the soya chunks to a plate and serve hot with tomato sauce

Simple Mushroom Masala\Poriyal


I am always amused by the different varieties and shapes of mushrooms in market.I learnt that there is something called mushroom existed only during my college days.Started seeing it in veg pizzas,then it started appearing slowly in many variation of dishes.I use both white and brown button mushrooms.To clean up a mushroom simply wash it in cold water and remove any dust on top.Remove the stem of mushrooms and chop them finely.Mushroom have lots of water content so dont add water while to mushrooms while cooking.
Her goes the cool mushroom masala...

INGREDIENTS:
Mushroom -1 box/2 cups,chopped
Curry leaves- 1 sprig
Red chilli powder-1/2 tsp
Turmeric powder-1/4 tsp
Salt-as required
Oil-as required

METHOD:

1)Wash the mushroom in cold water.



2)Chop the mushrooms.


3)Heat oil in a pan and add the curry leaves.


4)Add chopped mushrooms and saute well.When water oozes out from mushroom,add red chilli powder and turmeric powder and salt.

5)Serve with rice or even as a side dish for chapathi.
