Potato Fry/Urulakizhangu poriyal

Potatoes are my all time favorite vegetable whether it comes to french fries,curly fries or any form.I made this potato fry as an accompaniment for coriander rice today.And I should say this,potato fry vanished from table even before the rice could.Wow,what a lovely way to eat lunch..😆







INGREDIENTS:

Potato -3
Sambar powder - 1 tsp
Red chilli powder -1/2 tsp to 1 tsp
Turmeric powder -1/4 tsp
Hing - 2 pinch
Water -1/4 Cup
Salt

To Temper:
Gingelly oil - 2 tbsp
Mustard -1/2 tsp
Jeera - 1/2 tsp
Red Chilli -1
Curry leaves - 1 sprig

METHOD:

1)Wash and peel potatoes.


2)Chop them into little thick slices.

3)Cut them into small cubes.




4)Keep them in a bowl.

5)Heat Oil. Temper with mustard,jeera, red chilli and curry leaves


6)Add chopped potatoes.

7)Mix well and saute for 2 minutes.

8) Add water for potatoes to cook.


9) Cover it with a lid and let it cook for another 3 minutes.

10)Now when there is little water left,add sambar powder, red chilli powder, turmeric powder,Hing and salt.





11)Mix well.Serve with rice.

Curd pachadi/Thayir pachadi

Thayir pachadi is quick and easy to make.Packed with sweet,sour,spicy and salty flavour.I usually make this for biryani,ghee rice.One of my friend likes to eat this as such every night for dinner.She also takes it along with chapathis. Ooops  letguess I let out a little secret in here.Kudos to all dear readers out there whose family might  get curd pachadi for dinner😜



INGREDIENTS:

Curd -1 cup
Onion -1 chopped finely
Cucumber - 1/2 Cup, chopped finely
Coriander leaves - 2 Tbsp
Green chilly - 1
Salt
Carrot -2 Tbsp

METHOD:
1)In a bowl,add a bowl of curd.


2)Addchopped onion,carrot, cucumber,green chilly,carrot,salt and mix well.


3)Serve with biryani,nei soru.
